Boot Orphanage

The "TAFA Boot Orphanage" commenced in 2003 with the aim of gifting discarded football boots (and other sporting equipment) from Australia, to kids who really need help in Tonga. In 2003 we scraped the surface and picked up about 25 pairs of boots, which ran like a boot library with the ultimate aim of the kids one day keeping the boots. In 2004 we handed out 60 pairs of Boots, 40 Jerseys and a handful of Footies for kids to continue to kick goals with.

Since it's commencement the PFL Boot Orphanage has given out over 200 pairs of Football boots and loads of other sporting equipment to clubs in the region thanks to big efforts in 2005/06. Let's not let it end there, please help us. If you have a pair of lonely old boots lying around in your cupboard, shed or car boot, please send them to one of our agents who will make sure they rendezvous with a pair of young Tongan feet. If you would like to become a Boot Orphanage Agent in your area or just want to see how it works, it is easy just work your way through the documents we have provided on this website.

So.....don't throw your old footy boots out. Give them to us and we will ensure they keep kicking goals!

We also need footies, jumpers, shorts, socks, goal post pads etc, etc
